Nina Timofeeva known and remembered. One of the most talented and
beloved disciples of the great Galina Ulanova, she knew how to make the
hall not only admire the technique of dance, but also to live the life
of the main character.
In the Bolshoi Theater she danced thirty-two years - a long time for a ballerina. Prior to the most recent appearances on this stage, she retained her outstanding technique, which shone throughout her career, and she retained the magnetism with which her every party was fanned. Her dance was different from what we think when we think about the ballerina dance. Because at the word "ballerina" we imagine a light, weightless creature. Nina Vladimirovna was a completely different breed: her roles were passionate and strong, and the dance was always smart. About virtuosity Timofeeva literally made legends. It was unique.
The ballet dancer, who neglected the role and was always ready to give herself to full stage reincarnation, danced Swan Lake, Giselle, Raymond, Don Quixote, a very complex picture of Shadows from the ballet La Bayadere in a concert version, a romantic Chopiniana "And in each performance she knew how to find something of her own. It was so interesting that the choreographers chose and chose it for their performances, but the real hot spot for the ballerina would be a meeting with the choreographer Yuri Grigorovich. It was in his ballets that Timofeev danced her best games - Mistress of the Copper Mountain in the ballet "The Stone Flower", Mehmene Banu in the "Legend of Love". And of course, the grandiose role created by Nina Timofeeva already in commonwealth with the choreographer Yuri Grigorovich - the Aegina party in the ballet "Spartacus", where in the premiere performance the star of the Bolshoi ballet met. Now it is simply impossible to imagine such a concentration of individuals on the stage: Vladimir Vasiliev, Ekaterina Maksimova, Maris Liepa, Nina Timofeeva - it was something incredible. The role that Timofeeva created in the ballet "Spartacus" is the exceptional work of a ballerina. It is described many times in the laudatory reviews of many countries, is shot in the film-ballet and is the standard of how it should be performed. The role of the courtesan Aegina - friend of the Roman military chief Crassus, the ballerina does not cutesy and inviting, but strong, strong-willed, passionate. She enters the Spartacus camp, distracts the Spartans and thus gives Crassus the opportunity to conquer the enemy. Crassus will be humbled by the fact that he was helped by a woman, but will hide his humiliation and honor her at the end of the performance - he will order the legionnaires to make up their spears,
Leaving her career as a ballerina, Timofeeva initially started tutoring at the Bolshoi Theater, and then left to teach in Israel, where she, together with her daughter, Nadezhda, ballerina and assistant, opened the ballet school "Nina", which exists to this day.
